The North San Fernando Valley District of the Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women will have its district meeting on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish. The day begins at 9:30 am and includes speaker, Sr. Rose Marie Tupac, SND, luncheon and concludes at 1:30 pm. See the bulletin for more details.

The Knights were able to take truckloads of food to the Food Pantry last weekend. Save The Children is thankful for your generosity at their food drive last weekend.

Young adults ages 25 - 39, single or married, we are forming a new ministry just for you. Look for us after Mass on the plaza next week. Let us know you are interested in seeing this ministry grow.

Holy Day of Obligation on Friday, August 15: Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary 7:30 am and 7:00 pm Mass.

New Mass times: Beginning Sunday August 17, 5:30 pm Mass is available. Beginning Sunday, September 7 (and the first Sunday thereafter) Spanish Mass at 3:30 pm.

Volunteers are preparing meals for the homeless as part of our Go Fish Ministry. For more information, contact our Director of Outreach, Molly McCarthy.

250 children  and 75 volunteers have gathered this week to experience Where Jesus’ love is one of a kind during Weird Animals Vacation Bible School.  Lots of “weird” fun and animals abounding at Saint Kateri! During the week, kids are donating shoes and pennies.  They collected 28 pounds of pennies today, which goes towards a year’s supply of clean water in India! 

This week, we recognized members of the Finance and Pastoral Councils who served the parish over the past 16 years. Rita and George Maphis, Greg Santilli, Mary Lou Etzel, and Cookie Gunther. “Through the evidence of this service, you are glorifying God.” 2 Cor. 9:13a

Saint Kateri enter the SCV 4th of July Parade and won the Religious Float Trophy! Thanks to everyone who made this a wonderful day to remember and thank those who have served for our freedom.

Saint Kateri parishioners care for our brothers and sisters in Santa Clarita Valley who are homeless and in need of food.

Maureen Dunnahoo, Parish Office staff member, becomes a grandma. Her advice for first time parents, “Relax and enjoy your precious gift from God. They grow up very fast!"

We welcome our brothers and sisters, who were initiated into the Catholic Church at Easter. We journey with them as disciples of Christ. A few share their testimony, click here.

Saint Kateri Moms Support Group welcomes all Moms & Grandmothers with their little ones to join our ministry of friendship, encouragement and kid friendly activities. All while experiencing family spiritual growth.

With gratitude to God, we welcome our Neophytes into the Catholic Church.  During this time of mystagogia, they continue to discern how God has chosen them to be disciples and share they joy that they have found.

Collecting change for our Pro-Life cause to help the unborn and their moms to choose life. It’s a wonderful family opportunity that allows even our youngest members to participate in saving our innocent unborn babies.

Parish Office staff members, Kathleen and Patti show off their new granddaughters. Kathleen is a grandma for the first time and for Patti, this makes it her 9th grandchild! Patti's advice to new grandmas, "It never gets old becoming a grandma; cherish and love every moment." Kathleen's advice, "Don't ever let your child live more than 10 miles away from you!"
