The Audio Visual Ministry might just be the place to look! There are no technical requirements to serve in ministry, just a heart to serve and a willingness to learn.
Our Audio Visual (A/V) Ministry enhances the Liturgy of the Mass every weekend as well as many other special church services, including weddings, funerals, concerts, and other special events. As Liturgical Ministers, we help to create an atmosphere of worship and spiritual growth, and aid in the assembly's participation at every Mass. Ministers of Audio Visual have the opportunity to take part in several hands-on workshops to assist in comfortably serving in the Ministry, and serve one-on-one with a knowledgeable AV Technician.
Serving in the Audio Visual Ministry provides a unique service to our parish community. While serving in our Ministry, ministers are able to facilitate a deeper understanding of the Mass and its structure, at the same time as building relationships in a fun, professional, and loving environment.
Tasks performed by our Audio Visual Ministers include assistance in the up-keep and running of state of the art Audio and Video equipment and functions of the Mass. This includes all of our equipment, including setup and breakdown, assisting musicians with stage setup and levels, controlling and mixing audio levels and sound, displaying of lyrics and other video cues such as videos and images on our screens, troubleshooting audio cues, and maintaining an atmosphere of worship and spiritual growth to help form a community of intentional disciples.

The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, commissioned by Saint Kateri Tekakwitha parish under the Guidelines of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, assist at Mass in administering the Eucharist with the utmost respect and reverence. We also serve those who are not able to take their rightful place at the Eucharistic Table due to illness or physical challenge. We let them know that our Catholic Community of Saint Kateri does not forget them. The Liturgy is at the very heart of parish life. For it is in the liturgy, that “the work of our redemption is accomplished,” and especially in the divine sacrifice of the Eucharist, that the faithful “may express in their lives, and manifest to others, the mystery of Christ and the real nature of the true Church” (Sacrosanctum Concilium ¶2). This will best be accomplished, if “...the entire celebration is planned in such a way that it leads to a conscious, active, and full participation of the faithful both in body and mind, a participation burning with faith, hope and charity (GIRM Chapter I, ¶18).

The Spanish Prayer group gathers together in praise and worship to share the Sunday readings and develop a personal meaning and understanding of God’s Word. We end our time together praying for each other and our community.
Divine Mercy Ministry meets weekly following the Wednesday evening Mass, in the Chapel, to sing the Divine Mercy Chaplet and learn about the revelations given to Saint Faustina. This Chaplet was given to Saint Faustina in 1935 to spread God's Mercy for conversions and the sick and dying. This is a supplemental prayer to the rosary, which is both reflective and meditative. This group also meets for the Divine Mercy Novena on Good Friday for nine days leading up to Divine Mercy Sunday. Come join us in spreading the Divine Mercy message and devotion!
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings
From 8:30 am until 9:30 am
The power of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament can change lives, bring healing and advance the Kingdom of heaven on earth. In the words of Saint Pope John Paul II -
“”The worship of the Eucharist outside of the Mass is of inestimable value for the life of the Church. This worship is strictly linked to the celebration of the Eucharistic Sacrifice…It is the responsibility of pastors to encourage, also by their personal witness, the practice of Eucharistic adoration, and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament in particular, as well as prayer of adoration before Christ present under the Eucharistic species…This practice, repeatedly praised and recommended by the Magisterium, is supported by the example of the saints…St. Alphonus Liguori, who wrote: “Of all devotions, that of adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is the greatest after the sacraments, the one dearest to God and the one most helpful to us”” (#25).
The Legion of Mary is a group of men and women who are devoted to Mary’s call for evangelization, Christian service and praying the rosary. Active members meet weekly and dedicate two hours of service in the community, such as RCIA, religious education, visits to the sick, taking Eucharist to the sick, visiting those in prison, or promoting the rosary through the Pilgrim Virgin.
